Vermittlung des Welterbes am Welterbesteig

Der Welterbesteig ist eines der touristischen Leuchtturmangebote des Welterbes Wachau, der jährlich von tausenden Menschen begangen wird. Die besonderen Merkmale des Welterbes sollen im Zuge dieses Projektes erarbeitet und für die WanderInnen entlang des Weges erlebbar gemacht werden.

Weltkulturerbe Wachau erleben

Im Anschluss an das Bewusstseinsbildungsprojekt zum 20-Jahr-Jubiläum des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestatus der Wachau ist ein weiteres Projekt ins Leben gerufen worden, um auch den SchülerInnen der UNESCO-Schulen die Möglichkeit zu geben, ihre Region und speziell die Besonderheiten des UNESCO-Welterbes Wachau hautnah zu erleben.

Umsetzung Genuss & Kulinariktouren

Kulinarische "Genussangebote" waren in der Wachau in der Vergangenheit meist nur limitiert verfügbar bzw. für die Gäste oftmals sehr schwierig zu konsumieren. Das Projekt zielt auf die Umsetzung und Implementierung von wachautypischen Genuss- und Kulinarik-Erlebnissen ab.

World Heritage Volunteers Wachau-Middle Rhine

Since 2004, an intensive exchange has been taking place between the two World Heritage cultural landscapes of the Wachau in Austria and the Upper Middle Rhine Valley in Germany. The cooperation should now be further intensified by a joint volunteer camp with a focus on caring for the cultural landscape.

With the help of the Wachau Zones, development plans are elaborated which simplify dealing with historic buildings in line with World Heritage requirements.

The Fourth Wall – Seekopf Lookout Tower

The Seekopf and the Hirschwand belong to the World Heritage Trail and together form a popular excursion destination that is highly rated by hikers. A lookout tower affords a phenomenal 360-degree view. The prior existing tower was already over 25 years old and was showing signs of rotting, so it had to be demolished for safety reasons. The association "Jankerlklub Rossatz" and the market municipality of Rossatz-Arnsdorf worked on the construction of a new tower in order to continue being able to offer the rewarding view of the Wachau.

There are already several audio guides in the Wachau which are offered by various platforms and operators. What has been missing so far is a collated presentation of all audio guides in the region. The offer will now be presented as a bundle and include a range of new audio guides.
